Dutchess County

Combworks

At Dutchess County Combworks, there’s a deep belief in the transformative power of local agriculture—and in the vital role honeybees play within it.

The mission centers on creating a living network of apiaries that support the small farms shaping the Hudson Valley. Each single-origin honey reflects the terroir of the places these bees call home.

Apiaries are woven into the landscape in collaboration with farmers, enhancing crop yields and promoting biodiversity through pollination. Beyond the hive, education remains a central focus—fostering awareness of the essential connection between bees, food systems, and the environment. By deepening understanding and appreciation, this work invites community stewardship and meaningful action to protect pollinators.

A model rooted in care and reciprocity—where honey tells the story of the seasons, the farmers, and their land.
